wireless keyboard

Could my wireless Keyboard be default?

It does not consistently track where the arrow on screen is.. I have had it for some time. But quite using it the first week. . I thought that was how they are suppose to me. My husband told me he thoiught there was something wrong with it. and to contact apple to see what can be done. We had purchased another wireless keyboard that was not an apple product and it did the same thing. We were thinking it was due to the fact that it was not apple brand. So that is why he spent th eextra money and bought an apple wireless keyboard. We are not happy with the quality of tracking it has.

If I understand your question, marlyae, you’re having problems with your wireless keyboard. What you could do is go to the Bluetooth menu at the top right of your screen and then click on the card to access preferences and there should be something in there to forget ( un-pair) Bluetooth items- Your keyboard should be there. Do so. Now exit the Bluetooth menu. Turn off your wireless keyboard, make sure its batteries are fully charged up. restart your Mac, holding down Apple, option, P and R together. Hold them Down for three chimes or bongs or screen flashes then release them. After your Mac starts up, turn on your wireless keyboard, it should be recognized as a Bluetooth device and then follow the on-screen instructions to pair it with your mac, E.g. typing in a bunch of numbers. You should then be Able to go into system preferences, then keyboard and set it up as you like. Also make sure that accessibility is turned off. That is also under system preferences, you should be able to adjust the tracking speed under system preferences then mouse/trackpad. If your keyboard requires special software then you should download and install that as well.
