Changed I'd and password. Now iPad will not accept locked out

Changed user name and password now cannot get in

iPad Air 2, iOS 9

Changed how?


Have you:

a) created a new AppleID account (inadvisable), or

b) have you updated the existing AppleID account with a new primary email address (with which you sign-in to your AppleID/iCloud account) and/or the associated Password?


If (a), the Activation Lock will require the original AppleID credentials.
