My Apple watch activity monitor keeps asking if im done in the middle of a brisk walk. This is getting worse over time - it can happen three times during a 20 minute walk!
Also it used to notice when I start a new exercise and now it almost never does.
I would suspect a wrong setting, but the thing is that these errors occur sporadically and when I have made no edits to any settings.

I tend to wear my watch loose so I can slide it down past the end of my sleeve. Tightening it seems to do the trick, at least for not trying to stop my exercise before I am done. It has not been able to detect the start of a walk or run, but it did detect when I went for a swim in the ocean recently!

Try tightening the watch band a touch and don't wear the watch on top of any tattoos.
