Connecting Ethernet and microphone to iPad

Hi. I want to hardwire an iPad Air 2020 to the internet via an Ethernet cable but at the same time I want to be able to charge it and also attach a usb-c microphone. This is so I can invite remote students into my Italian classes. Is this possible? What equipment would I need? Obviously I want reliable equipment. Thanks for any help.

Apple has an adapter that allows you to connect Ethernet, however you are probably going to need a powered USB-C Hub to be able to connect that many devices. If you go to the Apple website and then iPad, then Accessories, you will find the Ethernet hub. I have one for my iPad Pro 11 and it works great. I'm not sure about external mics, so you would need to test that. I have an Anker powered Hub and it has a USB-C connector to connect the hub, one to connect a USB-C device to and then a passthrough to use to charge the iPad.

I know you cannot connect power to that Ethernet adapter, that is why you need a hub to connect to the iPad and then connect that Ethernet adapter. The iPad is not designed to connect a number of devices to it. You should be able to connect the Ethernet adapter to the hub, but I don't have the ability to check right now. I don't have ethernet here at home, only at work, and we are on Spring Break this week.
