That’s the problem with misinformation being spread around by people who have no clue what they talking about. The silver sparrow malware is NOT M1 exclusive. It installs on both Intel and M1 machines IF the user allows it. This malware CANNOT install itself without user action to allow it. If it gets installed the user did something to allow it, either by clicking on some upgrade offer or some other fake link they didn’t pay attention to.

I cannot stress this more. This malware and others only get on computers if the users allow it by falling for trickery, or ‘phishing’ as the industry calls. If something looks too good to be true, it’s fake.

The only thing I have updated recently was Skype after not using it for quite some time. Always good advice to beware of the phony links/pitches/offers etc. But besides clicking on something malicious, aren't there other ways that malware/viruses can infect a computer? I needed to use Zoom this past year and reluctantly downloaded it but that was months ago. I'd read that it had vulnerabilities. Can't a wifi connection be used as a path?
