I used *Mac fan control* to check my macbook pro 2017 fan rpm. And It shows 0RPM when ideal. But It shows the range of rpm is 1200-7200.
But when I used my mac for heavy task, far rpm rised.
01. Is it ok if mac fan rpm is 0 when ideal?
02. Can *mac fan control* trust? Is it harm if I control my mac fan, using Mac fan control ?
What exact macbook pro 2017 is this?
You would have to verify the version of "Mac fan control" is compatible with your exact macOS...
You can see from the Terminal.app if the following command line works for you depending on your macOS, copy and paste:
sudo powermetrics -n 1 --samplers smc | egrep -i "FAN|CPU die|GPU die"
You can always Try resetting the SMC https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295
if you think you have an issue
