Using eSIM in South Africa

I have T Mobile (unlocked phone). I want to continue my T Mobile service (and phone number) AND add an MTN eSIM to have a South African number also. How do I do that?

If it doesn't work, your device doesn't seem to be "unlocked".

Read this: "To use two different carriers, your iPhone must be unlocked. Otherwise, both plans must be from the same carrier. If a CDMA carrier provides your first SIM, your second SIM won't support CDMA. Contact your carrier for more information. "
