VR on a iMac late 2015
I have a Imac Retina 5K 27 inch late 2015 (with thunderbolt2 ports) and want to start with developping 360° video's for VR use. Is it possible to connect a eCPU and a HTC Vive Pro Kit for doing this?

eGPUs are supported by any Mac with an Intel processor and Thunderbolt 3 ports1 running macOS High Sierra 10.13. 4 or later.
It looks like your model can't use eGPU as it only has a Thunderbolt 2 port and a Thunderbolt 3 port is required.

Isn't there any adapter available that can convert Th2 to 3?
No. There are adaptors to downgrade TB3 to TB2 but the machine must have the TB3 capability built in in order to use eGPU.
To be clear: does anyone here have good experiences with virtual reality esp. 360 ° movies on a Mac? wich configuration of Mac? which VR hardware?
