Transfer music from Macbook to iPhone

Is there a way to transfer music from my laptop to my iPhone without subscribing to Apple Music or Apple Match?

Yes, I have never used Apple Music or iTunes Match. I sync my music from my Mac to my devices using iTunes. If you are running Catalina or Big Sur, you will sync via the Finder.

I'm afraid the link doesn't work (Macbook air with Big Sur).
I tried connecting the computer and iPhone with the phone charger cord, then clicked on iPhone and synched. I was able to see a short list of music docs, but the list wouldn't scroll.

I’m not sure what you mean by music docs. You should see your music library in the list, not music docs.

You did perform the steps in here, correct?
