I have added a "permanent" external USB Drive for my user folder due to running out of space on my MacBook Air. Now that I have changed the user home folder in settings and reenabling iCloud, my Desktop and Documents are not syncing.
Please let me know if this is a restriction on external drives and iCloud?

The iCloud syncing service has no ability to "speak" to an external drive.

I was worried that was the problem. It seems to be the same issue with Microsoft OneDrive, which I use for work... Wish the MacBook Air came out with bigger drives, or that the upgradeable drives weren't so limited to specific manufacturers, it makes it so expensive to upgrade...
