My downloads are not arriving in the downloads folder, despite being selected for the browsers. this has only recently occurred. I am using MacOS Big Sur. What must I do?
iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.12
Safari > Preferences > General > File download location.
Instead of Downloads choose "Ask for each location"

To exit Safe Mode, click in the menu bar and choose “Restart”.
