Apple Music 1.1.3.3 - Editing Tags with Apple Music - Assertion failure: (player != nullptr)

Version 11.2.3

iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015)

When attempting to use Apple Music to modify MP3 Tags the following errors are thrown. However in the Application doesn't report any issues but no changes are ever committed.

Assertion failure: (player != nullptr)

Assertion failure: err == (-50)

I can use a 3rd party tag editor but have to delete the music from Apple Music library and reimport to resolve.

Are you trying to edit tags while using AirPlay? See Repair security permissions for iTunes/Music for Mac - Apple Community. Do you have any third party security software, or is your library being actively shared with Home Sharing?
