One airpod not playing a sound

Hi everyone,

I have the Gen 2 airpods and about 6 months ago my left airpod "died". It stopped playing any sound (or I had to have my volume on full blast to hear even a faint sound). After trying everything I could find online, I decided to just buy a replacement airpod. Well, now the replacement is doing the same thing.

I've tried resetting and repairing them more than once. I've even verified that the sound output balance on my mac is set in the middle. I'm having the same problem no matter what device (macbook or iphone) I use my airpods with.

Can this be fixed? Or should I just bite the bullet and buy a whole new pair?

Thanks!

Depending on if they are in warranty they might be covered.

The warranty is for 1 year.

If not in warranty it might be a paid repair.
