Can't sign in on my new iPhone 11

I can't sign in on my new iPhone.When I try and log in, it spins forever and then says " Verification failed, there was an error connecting to the apple id server. This I.D worked on my old phone. I can log in online. Just not on this new iPhone and FYI its a new iPhone 11 from ATT
