Unable to connect Apple Pencil to my iPad

Hi, after the update of iPadOS 14.4.1, I am no longer able to connect my Apple Pencil (1st gen) to my iPad Pro (9,7 inches)

Does any of you have the same problem or know how to fix it?

I tried restarting the iPad and charging the pencil but that made no difference.
