How long should FileVault take to encrypt a 1TB fusion drive?

How long should FileVault take to encrypt a 1TB fusion drive? Mine seems to still be going after 5 days! Now I cannot turn off FileVault, and TimeMachine back ups are suspended. Help!

If you are using a laptop, then you need to make sure the charger is plugged into the laptop since FileVault pauses encryption while on battery power.

How long it takes to encrypt a drive depends on how much you are using the system and the health of the drive. It can take a while for a 1TB drive. To check the health of the hard drive run DriveDx and post the report here using the "Additional Text" icon which looks like a piece of paper. Make sure to select the hard drive when saving the report since you do have two drives installed.
