Find deleted contact

Having a lot of trouble with contacts. In the middle of working on a rather detailed contact card, the card disappeared. I'm not sure whether this is an app problem or a trackpad problem (I have a MacBook Pro 2017 which has known trackpad issues). The missing card has many notations that will be hard to reconstruct. Where did it go? Any way I can find it and restore it? - it is gone from macbook, icloud, and iphone. The "undo" function was no help.

Restore it from iCloud.com

Restore contacts, calendars, bookmarks, and more using iCloud.com

Go to iCloud.com

Click

under “Welcome “greeting and then to “Advanced” at the bottom.

Choose “Restore Contacts"

Wait until it is done.

OK. So what you're saying is, it's 2021, and Apple has not created a way to restore a single card that was accidentally deleted. That's amazing. Can't say I am game to restore all contacts, just to pick one up. I'll figure out a workaround.

I just deleted a bookmarks folder and successfully restored the folder.

Thanks. This sounds like a remedy for restoring all contacts, not just one. When would the most recent backup have been made? - do I risk losing other recent contact edits if I restore everything?

You should see a time frame there. There will be a date.

Before clicking the final Restore button, see what it says.
