Unable to Purchase App / Fixed!

When I go to add apps (Spotify, Sleep Cycle, anything) from the App Store, I receive this message:

"Unable to Purchase App Sign in with your Apple ID from the Apple Watch app on your iPhone"


I proceed to the Apple watch App on my iPhone 8 Plus:

Apple Watch > My Watch > General > Apple ID


On this menu, all that shows up is this:


There aren't any options available to sign in or anything.


And when I go to Settings > Apple ID

my Watch appears as an active Device



Everything else works. My texts, apple pay, email, calendar, and fitness are all synced up.


What can I do to be able to "Sign in" to my Apple ID on my watch and download these apps?


I tried:

  • Turning off and back my watch and iPhone.
  • Updating Watch
  • Erase Apple Watch Content and signing out of Apple ID then signing back in and repairing.


Had Success with this process:

  • Tried this process: Removing Apple Watch from Apple ID Settings Menu, Erase Apple Watch Content and Settings, Signing out of Apple ID on iPhone, Turn off Apple Watch via Side button, Turning off iPhone (leave for a few minutes), turned iPhone back on, signed back into Apple ID, turned on Media and Purchases, Turn on Apple Watch and Pair, Click "Set up as New Apple Watch", Entered iTunes Store sign in prompt with password, finished final sync. I went to download apps and it worked!!!
