Disable Apple Notes Phone number recognition

I use Apple notes a lot and sometime when I try to type in a sequence of numbers, the app will try and auto-detect that it is a phone number and turn it into a yellow, clickable hyperlink. The problem is that the number is NOT a phone number. Once it does this, there is no way to make it stop without type the digits in with words. It does this sequences including dashes, slashes and periods. I have checked settings for a way to disable it and have not found anything. I tried opening and closing the app, starting an entirely new note and restarting my phone. The strange thing is that there is no consistency with what if decides is a phone number and what it doesn’t. Sometimes it converts one string of numbers of the same length and format, but not another, within the same note!

Any ideas on how to stop this? I’m having the issue on an Iphone Xs max.

Thanks, but the notes app is conspiciously missing from the page you linked. I suppose they don’t want feedback on it.

Use iPhone as product for which you want to provide the feedback for https://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html.

If it works properly it is a feature, since it formatting text inappropriately, it is definitely a bug.

As far as I see it, all this formatting is just a form of a suggestion that it comes handy but if you don’t like it/use it you simply ignore it. Beside, it only appears in Notes app; e.g. if you export a note as PDF or share it as email, those suggestions are not included.
