How can i find my lost phone even thought the phone is dead

If the battery is dead then it cannot connect to the Internet to report its location, nor can you get it to produce a sound. If it was able to connect within the last 24 hours it should still who its last known location in the Find My app on another device, or in iCloud (see the above link).
