I currently use my personnel apple id on my work phone. I purchased another phone and want to use my personnel apple id on that phone (and hopefully switch over all my app's, etc from iCloud). I am creating a new apple id for my work phone that won't be linked to my personnel id.
How do I do this and what steps do i follow (find my iPhone, etc..)

In your case you're not really "switching" since you are using a completely separate Apple ID.
