Numbers file flips text in Table cells & Text boxes

Numbers version 10.3.5

macOS Big Sur 11.2.2

Something has happened such that when I type into a Table cell or a Text box, the letters flip.

They fill the box in reverse. Almost like I'm looking out of the monitor rather that at it.

When I type "United States" the cell or text box will enter "setatS detinU".

Have I inadvertently pressed some key sequence that has done this?

This affects a single Numbers file, but it happens in every tab of the file.

How do I reset/fix this?

I spoke with Apple support and nothing they offered helped.

In the course of speaking with them, I additionally realized I couldn't save and/or shut down the problem Numbers file.

I couldn't Force Quit the file either.

Eventually, I opened Activity Monitor and shut down the Numbers process.

After that, I reopened the Numbers file and the the problem had resolved.

No explanation of why the problem occurred.

What happens if you copy all cells of a table in this document, then open a new blank document, click on the top left non-header cell (B2 if the table has a header row and a header column) of the new document and choose Paste and match Style from the Edit menu?

I would suspect this is a Print setting, as the only times I've seen reference to 'reverse text' is in the print dialogue, and is used for printing images for transfer to clothing or other surface.
