How do I know how I am backups in cloud or iTunes backup?

To back up to iTunes you must connect your phone to your computer, click on its icon in iTunes, and click Back Up Now. That screen will also list your latest backup. If you have backed up to iCloud that screen will also display the date of the iCloud backup.

To back up to iCloud on the phone go to Settings/[your name]/iCloud and tap iCloud Backup. That will show the date and time of the latest iCloud backup. You can also start a backup from that page. If you leave that switch for iCloud Backup on and plug in your phone overnight, every night, the phone will back up to iCloud automatically every night when it has a Wi-Fi connection and is locked.
