I bought a apple adapter i want to know is it genuine or fake?

I gone to apple coverage and enter the serial number mentioned on the box it is mentoineing that the serial number i have entered is not valid

plz tell me how to check

If Apple’s data base couldn’t verify the serial number, I would go with Apple on this and say it isn’t genuine.
