Hi billschoe,

Welcome to the Apple Community, where some of us do our best to help each other.

Wondering what you are creating the Slideshow with ... so guessing "Photos".

And will you be "Exporting" the slideshow ? or just viewing it in Photos ?)

Could also depend on the version of Photos (or iPhoto) you are using to create the slideshow.

If you have image-making software: One way that has worked for me is to create a plain colour "photo" with the title on it, and place it first up in the photos you select for the slideshow.

NB. Your "slide" number one may need to be named to suit the line-up, (or highlighted) so Photos would use it first up.

OR

Make the folder title of the photos (eg: on the top bar of the "event") the wording you want for the title:

It should then appear, on whatever you choose to be the first "slide".

Hope this helps

PS: In Photos Version 6.00

  • Add text to a slide: Select a photo, click , then click Add Text. Select the text in the text box, then type the text you want.
  • Delete text from a photo: Select the text in the photo or select the T frame before the photo in the row of thumbnails, then press Delete.

There is a User Guide online:
