Can 'Mac ServerOS 5.12' software work on 'Big Sur'?

The Mac App Store says the current version 5.11 works with 10.16 (which should read 11.1, but that is a Marketing issue.
Many features perviously only available in Server have been migrating to MacOS itself.
¿Are you sure you need the extra complexity of Server?
I thought it still worked. I am running an older version under 10.13 High Sierra.

Yes, we will need a Server on a static IP to run VPN and our 10 user accounts. We have been using Server OS for the last 13 years and need to continue with this setting. Are you sure it works as I have no means to test it and Apple tech help is hopeless.
I have read some comments that the latest Server Software does not work at all hence the query. However that comment was by someone using Catalina ie OS 10.15.
Can the latest 'Mac OS Server 5.11' software work on the latest 'Mac OS - Big Sur'?
