I have an opportunity to buy an Apple Watch series 5 from my friend in Latvia. She has bought it in Latvia. I’m living in Sweden and need your help, since I’m wondering if the watch will work over here in Sweden?

Yes sure, they are not region locked. Of course you'll need to reset everything and maybe get a cellular subscription (if its a SIM model), but that is all the same process within your country as well.
