Macbook update

my mac book is currently operating off of ios 13 and needs to go to 14 to use some new software how do I update if there isn't one available!

iOS 13 and 14 is for iPhones and iPods only. It does not work on Macs.,


If you mean macOS 10.13 High Sierra, then update availability depends on your model of Mac.


macOS 10.14 Mojave requires the following Macs:

Mac Hardware Requirements

For details about your Mac model, click the Apple icon at the top left of your screen and choose About This Mac. These Mac models are compatible with macOS Mojave:

  • MacBook (Early 2015 or newer)
  • MacBook Air (Mid 2012 or newer)
  • MacBook Pro (Mid 2012 or newer)
  • Mac mini (Late 2012 or newer)
  • iMac (Late 2012 or newer)
  • iMac Pro (2017)
  • Mac Pro (Late 2013; Mid 2010 and Mid 2012 models with recommended Metal-capable graphics cards)


If yours is supported you can get Mojave by following the steps here: link-> How to get old versions of macOS - Apple Support


If your Mac is not a supported model, then there is no way to update.
