Recently all my clean versions of songs in my downloaded library, that I bought prior to signing up for Apple Music, switched to the explicit version after joining Apple Music. Why is it switching on its own and how do I get the clean versions back for download. I removed the explicit version but the my downloads but the library has the explicit version so I can’t download the clean version.

Thank you.

I have used this in the past for my young children so I’m aware of the functionality.

I had these all inactive because I haven’t set up screen time on my phone. So it appears because I hadn’t restricted explicit content the software designers assumed I wanted the explicit versions and took the liberty of changing m my songs I had physically downloaded.

I guess you can’t allow explicit content while also having a clean version in my library. In order to have a single clean version of a song I gave to block all explicit music.

I know the software engineers are all knowing and like to assume what I’ll want, but shouldn’t I be able choose which songs have the explicit version and which have the clean version. Why does it have to be all or nothing. I guess having a clean version of a song I play for my kids means I nee need to forego all explicit versions of everything.

Nice. Thank you all powerful, all knowing software designers.
