Stainless Steel Link Bracelet - Links Stuck

Hello,

I have an old Series 2 Watch with the SS Link Bracelet. I've resized it in the past, but it's not been resized basically since it was new. I now need to resize it again, but the links appear to be stuck. No amount of pushing or prodding seems to unlock any of the links.

Does anyone have any advice on how to handle the stuck links? I suspect brute force isn't the correct answer. Are these links something I should soak in WD-40 or something to clean and relubricate? Any way to give them a deep clean in case there's debris jamming them up?

Honestly not even sure if they're depressing or not, pretty sure my finger(nail) is giving first...

Remove the band from the watch, soak the Stainless Steel Link Bracelet in a bowl of warm soapy water for a few minutes, perhaps scrub with a used soft toothbrush and see if that allows you to press on the links to open and add or remove a link. You can also use the end of a "blunt" pencil to assist with pushing the links.

Might have to try for longer, didn't have any success soapy water and scrubbing before, but I also didn't leave it in the water for too long since the link bracelet isn't "waterproof". I've used the blunt end of several objects, kinda why I was thinking WD-40 or Gun Oil since it seems almost like it's seized...
