apple pay declined, says visa is expired
Yet my card doesn’t expire till next year. Already called Visa and they said the tokens (term they used) on their end are all valid and everything is fine.
im sitting on hold after being passed around with Apple right now, trying to explain that I’m not trying to use Apple Cash but Apple Pay, now no one as picked up after the guy said he’s transferring me back to Apple Pay. Great help support Apple!
anyway here’s the situation, up to March 11th 2021 Apple Pay worked like a charm on my watch and phone, updated to 14.4.1 and Apple Pay no longer works, shows that the card is expired. I’ve added, deleted and added many times (on the phone with visa support and once again with Apple support) and when the card is linked to Apple Pay it shows expired. When it’s just my card on file I can make app purchases or what not no problem, once I add said card to Apple Pay it now comes up saying the card is expired, tried an iTunes purchase while on the phone with Apple support and they saw it now suddenly said declined. They sent the call to their senior advisor and they sent me to Apple Cash person and I had a hard time explaining this isn’t anything to do with Apple Cash, but Apple Pay which worked prior to the 14.4.1 iOS update.
anyone else having this problem? Over an hr long phone call and on hold or dropped waiting here. This is a poor way to show customer support. So I’m going to schedule another fun loving phone call and see what comes of it.
suggestions in the meantime would be great!
