Why does my find my iPhone show two locations for one of my friends? I have my friends location from his old and new phone same phone number and contact because he got a new phone, his old phone is still with us. So why is it active all for sudden in a different town?

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. It sounds like one of your friends has two different iPhones reporting different locations and one of them is showing an incorrect location. “Location Services uses GPS and Bluetooth (where they're available), along with crowd-sourced Wi-Fi hotspots and cellular towers to determine the approximate location of your device.” according to: Turn Location Services and GPS on or off on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. If there is an issue with their old phone’s GPS or if their connected Wi-Fi hotspot or cellular network is reporting an incorrect location the iPhone will also show an incorrect location.
