Shelf Life of an Unopened Brand New Apple Watch SE
I am planning to buy apple watch se and expect to get it in april 2021. How long can I leave the brand new box unopened without experiencing problems when I do open it in Dec 2021?

Probably not a good idea.
The internal battery in an Watch is pretty small and may completely discharge/ fail by the time December 2021.
That Watch will be sitting in a box unused and not charged, at all, for 9 months.
That Watch will probably need to be replaced or its battery replaced.
