Popup Menu

There's this annoying pop-up menu that appears when I try to select text. how do I disable it?

The picture in you original posting and popup menu shown, indicates the file you are working on is a Picture file ( png or jpeg extension ). As such - the text is Part of the Image and can not be Selected like one would do in a Word, TextEdit, Pages file. The additional Popup menu is showing several Options like " Trim, Create PDF and Markup " - all clearly indicate this is a Picture file.


If you want to copy only certain text from the image - you will have to invoke the " Create PDF file" once that is done - Now work in the newly created PDF file and you can select any part of the Text and do what you want - like copy and paste to another Application.
