The picture in you original posting and popup menu shown, indicates the file you are working on is a Picture file ( png or jpeg extension ). As such - the text is Part of the Image and can not be Selected like one would do in a Word, TextEdit, Pages file. The additional Popup menu is showing several Options like " Trim, Create PDF and Markup " - all clearly indicate this is a Picture file.
If you want to copy only certain text from the image - you will have to invoke the " Create PDF file" once that is done - Now work in the newly created PDF file and you can select any part of the Text and do what you want - like copy and paste to another Application.
Apple Icon on Desktop >> System Preferences >> Trackpad and UnChick " Secondary Click " OR Same >> Mouse and UnCheck " Secondary Click ".
Is this an Image file like png, jpeg and in what application is this occurring ? Please in context would help.
It happens when I try to copy text or select text on any application
the small menu on the bottom of the picture. how do I disable it?
You seem to be Right Clicking the Image and as such Activated the Secondary Actions / Menu you want to get rid of.
its when I click text. no right clicking
it simply opens up the pop up menu, which makes my Mac Freeze for a few seconds. I tried restarting, but nothing I did seemed to change it. I even disabled services.
No. I'm editing text on Microsoft word. I took a screenshot of what it looks like
Ah - the missing link ( Application ) is revealed, MS Word ! Now that changes everything. Suggest contacting Microsoft for a solution as this is their Software.
So the text in the image is real text
And it also happens in pages and in any app that has text in it
