audio muted in first 10 seconds on iphone videos

Does anyone else have no audio for the first 10 seconds of a video, and then it fades to full volume? The 10 seconds of mute seem to start when I start talking; if I give it 10 seconds of silence to get the video started at full volume, it still gives me 10 muted seconds after I start talking. My software is up to date and I checked all the settings; volume is on high. Is this a planned feature or a glitch? Can't find anything about it in user info.

It sounds like videos you record on your iPhone don't have any sound for the first 10 seconds, correct? We'd like to see how we can help.
