Airdrop files missing

I've send more than one type of file over from my Mac to my iPad and they're successfully sent, but appear nowhere on my iPad. They exist because the storage capacity goes down each time. But they don't show up anywhere in FILES or apps that could open them.

Greetings, Pigumon.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. It’s understandable that you’d want to resolve the issue with your AirDrop files missing.

Start by ensuring that your devices are up-to-date.

How to update the software on your Mac

Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Then, disable your fire wall: About the application firewall

Finally, restart both devices.

Log out, sleep, wake, restart, or shut down your Mac

Restart your iPad

We hope this helps. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions.

All the best.

Hi. Thanks for your reply.

I guess I should've prefaced this by saying that I'ma LONG time Apple user and did all the basic stuff first thing.

And it seems like I may not have been clear but the files WERE TRANSFERRED SUCCESSFULLY because they take up space on my iPad. They simply can't be found. They did not invoke a pop-up dialog asking where to save or which app to open in. They were simply transferred and exist somewhere. But are not listed anywhere.

Being able to reproduce the problem means this is definitely a bug.
