There are caaes that leave openings for all speakers/microphones/buttons around the exterior of the iPad.
There are also cases that have built-in raised buttons that can be pushed down against the buttons on the iPad.
Search for 2019 iPad Air 3rd generation cases to see all that is available to your iPad model.

I was hoping to find a case with the on/off and volume buttons exposed you have to be very dexterous to undertake these tasks when they are covered up with the case
