Split screen

My iPad won’t allow 50-50 split screen. I can only overlap the app I choose from the dock. Any way to fix this?

iPad Pro 12.9-inch, 3rd Gen, Wi-Fi

Split screen not working I’ve got a new iPad 10.5. I can’t seem to get the split screen to function. Whenever I try to move an app from the Dock, I get the delete/share/edit home screen option. Am I doing something wrong or not understanding process. Thanks for any insights.

Why can’t I get split screen to work on my ipad pro 9.7”? I have tried numerous times to get 2 apps to sho up in split screen. But it doesn’t work. I have an ipad Pro 9.7” and it won’t put 2 apps in equal halves of the screen. One app is always at least ⅔ of the screen while the other app is only ⅓ of the screen. I’ve tried to pull the edge of the ⅓ screen to move to ½ of the screen but nothing happens. There isn’t any place on the ⅓ screen to resize the screen on that app.

What apps are you trying to use split screen with? Some do not support 50/50 split so you will have to use the overlay instead of a real split.
