Photo Booth problem with videos

I have a Mac Mini late 2012 and a Macbook 2012 too (and in both the main disk is SSD and both has 8MB of RAM), and when I use Photo Booth with a Webcam Kros Video Elegance HD 720p I bought 2 days ago, it works perfectly for record videos in my Macbook. But when I try to record a video with the same version of Photo Booth in my Mac Mini, It does not run perfectly, freezing the image etc. and I have to stop. Any help?

Mac mini, macOS 10.13

Hi Sergio B Netto,

You might be able to find one in the App Store to test that out with. You can read reviews to determine which one would best fit your needs. Also, you can record video in QuickTime Player on your Mac as well. Check out the steps from this article for info on how to do this - Record a movie in QuickTime Player on Mac

You could also see if this occurs in safe mode. You can read how to boot your Mac into safe mode here - How to use safe mode on your Mac

Good luck!

Hi Sergio B Netto,

Thank you for participating in the Apple Support Communities. Before you try any invasive troubleshooting steps, restart your devices to see if the issue persists. If the issue persists, see if you able to use Photo Booth with your Mac Mini without the webcam to help you narrow down the issue. If you narrow the issue down to the webcam, reach out to the manufacturer for compatibility support or for any updates. If the issue is the Mac Mini, check for any possible pending updates to see if that helps.

Have a great day.
