Display keeps crashing. Any app or keyboard button pressed near home button edge causes the screen to go back to the Home Screen

Display screen turning off Every time i move my display screen towards me, the screen goes black. The keyboard back light remains on and whatever audio was playing will continue to play. I have tried restarting, shutting down and updating it. None of which has fixed the issue.

Sounds like it may be time to make an appointment at the nearest Apple Store for an evaluation and explanation of your options....
