Secondary and primary

I just got a new I phone. I am switching over from an android , and when I created an Apple ID it gave me all these choices to use primary or secondary cellular data. I chose both because I wasn’t sure what to do , and now I cannot send text messages and it says I don’t have service , only wifi . How do I fix this ?

My iPhone is not receiving sms messages from other iPhones Basically the title. Just switched from Android to iPhone, and excited to use iMessage. I do not have unlimited data from my cellular company, so I keep it off by default. When I go out and don’t have my WiFi or cellular data on, I am able to send sms messages, receive phone calls, and send/receive sms messages from Android users. I know my cellular service is working fine. However, I am not receiving sms messages from iPhone users. When I return to WiFi, I receive a bunch of iMessages that were sent during the time my WiFi was off. How do I solve this issue? Why can I not receive text messages on my iPhone without data? I recently purchased an iPhone 11. I informed the sales person that I do not have a data plan with a provider. That with my previous Samsung and LG phones I was able to receive texts messages when I was not in a wifi area(vehicle etc) however as many people I communicate with have iPhones, I am unable to receive there phone texts or messages as they go straight to my iPhone address i have changed the settings, but still having this issue
