Personally, I recharge it to 100%, then I unplug it and use it on battery mode until its 20%, and recharge again. and that's what I've done with all my other MacBooks for the past 25 years, and I always upgrade to a new one, every four years. I either sell them to friends or coworkers and their battery continues to function at very great levels.
