Magic Keyboard not working with Excel on IPad Pro 11

My magic keyboard doesn’t work with Excel using Microsoft 365 Online. The keyboard does not respond and seems it gets blocked. I had to open the onscreen keyboard but this is annoying. See this problem with several users since 2020 but I have not found a thread that confirms if this problem got resolved. Just FYI, got my last IOS update 14.4.2.


This happens only with the Microsoft 365 Online version which I prefer more than the IPad App from the AppStore.


Any hints will be appreciated.

We understand that you're having some trouble using your iPad with Magic Keyboard with Microsoft 365. Per their tech blog, we do see that an update was released for app compatibility.


New Office updates make work on iPad even easier - Microsoft Tech Community


With this issue persisting on their online version, we would recommend contacting Microsoft directly to confirm if this configuration is compatible.
