Hi,
I'm trying to create an outlook 16.48 account to my iCloud. I tried creating account using the appleid password and also the app-specific password. Neither works... says invalid. I've seen some threads on this but nothing seems to work. I tried using Spark to see if it is Outlook related and same problem.
Any ideas?

It sounds like you need to create an app-specific password for your Outlook account. We're happy to assist.
You'll need to set up Two-factor authentication for Apple ID and then you can follow the instructions here: Using app-specific passwords

Thank you for the reply but I already tried to create an app specific password and it doesn't work. It's not Outlook specific because it also does not work with spark.
Here is the error which is ridiculous because the app specific password creates the error.
" Unable to sign in. Try again or create an app password for this account."

The question is, did you set up 2 Factor Authentication first?
"doesn't work" is not enough detail for anyone to possibly help you .
Yes, 2 Factor Authentication is on. I'm able to create an app specific password but the password is rejected by outlook and spark.
This is the error outlook gives me when trying to create an account to my iCloud email. "Unable to sign in. Try again or create an app password for this account."
Sometimes the answer is too simple. I was using my name@mac.com address instead of first.last@icloud.com. Thanks for the help.
