My iPod was put on a magnetic holder, so now I get the big apple and "go to www.apple.com/support/iPod". So here I am with the only help that I can fine at Apple. Is there any way to have the OS reinstalled on my 120GB iPod Classic? Thank you
I suspect the damage is permanent. See If you see a red X icon on your iPod classic or iPod nano (5th generation or earlier) - Apple Support (archived copy). See iPod Service Pricing - Apple Support. You might want to shop around and/or consider an SD conversion kit to replace the failed drive.
