iPhone XR GPS Accuracy
I record thousands of miles of bike rides on Strava each year. I just got a new iPhone XR and I am very disappointed in the accuracy of it's GPS. It is very noticeably less accurate than my iPhone 8 the preceded it, and 6S before that.
If I pedal up and then down the same street, one pass might be spot on, the other pass will have me riding through peoples houses and yards. It sounds corners severely, takes turns too early or too late relative to where they actually happen. It's a real mess.
So the question, is there anything I can do about this, short of replacing the phone? Is there some way I can tell the phone to make GPS accuracy a higher priority, even at the expense of battery life? It's so bad right now, it makes me want to try to return it and go buy a much cheaper old-stock iPhone 8 again. I like the bigger screen and faster processor but the GPS accuracy is a necessity.
Note that I put the phone in the same outer-most pocket on my camel back that I have put all my phones in. None of my phones including the XR have had cases, I like my phones good n' naked.
