I have a 2010 Imac running OS X El Capitan. When I check for updates it says none are available. Can I install a newer version of Mac OS or is my computer too old?

Back up your data, check your applications for compatibility, and click on High Sierra. It's a full-version upgrade and won't appear in the Updates list.

Mojave will not work on a 2010 iMac, which is what this thread was discussing.

I was able to download the link that you provided and when I started to install them MOJAVE the app closes right away what does that mean? I can see the option to start the install but once I click on continue it closes

This the message I get when trying to download High Sierra

"The item you’ve requested is not currently available in the U.S. store."

Any other places to get it from?
