if your charging port is damaged on your iPad,,it may nit be worth the costs to repair given your iPad's age.

If you own an iPad that is still stuck on iOS 10, then you own an 8-/2-year old iPad 4th gen.

It may not be economical to repair because basically there is no more supoort from App;le and virtually no more app support from third party app developers.

These 8-10-year old iPad models are pretty much obsolete,,now, in 2021.

Simply not worth repair such an old iPad at this very late date.

It is really time to consider a purchase of a new iPad model OR a much, MUCH “newer” and less expensive, used iPad models, from better known, trusted sources, like other Apple product/device retailers/resellers, locally or online, capable of running the latest iPadOS versions.

There are PLENTY of newer, older iPad models that can run the latest, current versions of iPadOS.

I am sorry that you had to learn all of this, but this does not change any of the facts regarding these very old iOS devices.
