In the Itunes store it says *Purchased* next to tracks I have purchased in the past. I am on a different laptop now, and when I go to Itunes-Account-Purchased - --- I get a screen with no purchased items in it. Where are they please ?

You might have to sign in if you haven't already. Then you need to authorize your laptop.
If you've already done that, then you might need to make a copy of the iTunes folder on the other device and transfer that over if you don't have the iCloud music library.
