I'm assuming that you are trying the "Quick Start" method and are not successful doing so. Have you tried either of the other methods: via iCloud or via iTunes or Finder?
I'm also assuming that your iPhone is running iOS 11 or later ... is that correct?
No problem. I'm sorry that I couldn't help. If you have either an Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider near you, they can certainly assist you with this. It was (and I believe, still is) a common service when folks purchase new devices for an Apple Representative to help with transferring your device's data.
I can't get the screen to swipe when the hello comes on, but your information would be helpful if I could get beyond the first screen.
It’s an iPhone 8 and I’m senior so not tech savvy, I think I will have to take it somewhere. Thanks for all your help.
